UNITED WAY CAMPAIGN KICK-OFF

The

United Way
of Kankakee County would like to thank the community for their terrific support of the 2010 Campaign Kick-Off. Special thanks goes to all who attended the Montgomery Gentry concert, the many volunteers, sponsors, partner agencies, concert producer, Hidden Cove Sportsplex, Jason and the Haymakers, Eddie Montgomery and Troy Gentry of Montgomery Gentry and their band. United Way is pleased to have brought this level of entertainment to the area.

United Way also thanks the community for all of its feedback since the concert. There are some great suggestions for improvements. Over the next few weeks, we will meet with each of the concert’s partners to review the concerns, feedback and suggestions.

We greatly appreciate all of our donors who continually show they are dedicated and generous people. United Way’s annual donation campaign will remain the cornerstone of how we fund 46 programs within our 24 partner agencies. However, those programs and agencies are being strained and we recognize the need to develop creative and innovative ways to increase awareness and reach the 2010 campaign goal of $1,100,000. As long as there are needs in Kankakee County ,

United Way
is committed to meeting the challenge.

- 2010-2011 Campaign
As we prepare to wrap up the 2009-2010 Campaign on March 25th, 2010 we would like to thank all of our participating businesses and individuals that have made the 1st half of the campaign a success.  Currently, we are on track to see a higher pledge this campaign than last year, what a wonderful thing that will be for our community.  However, we do have a stretch goal this year of $1,200,000.00 and we still need your support.  If you have not given yet this year, please do.  The strength of our community is counting on your support, we cannot do it alone.  By giving just a little bit, you will help many in need, a need stronger than ever before.
