For six decades, the United Way has helped Kankakee County residents receive valuable health and human services by providing funds to worthy organizations. Although there are United Way organizations in almost every part of the world, each one is governed by its own local board and is completely autonomous from the United Way of America.
The United Way of Kankakee County is a volunteer-driven organization. This means that individuals volunteer their time and expertise to set and monitor the direction in planning, policy decisions, and financial development of the United Way.
Through one yearly campaign, the United Way of Kankakee County offers individuals, companies and their employees the opportunity to choose how they want to respond to our community needs. These areas of focus are:
Community Care: Contributors can choose to have their one gift distributed to 24 health and human service United Way agencies.
Specific Care: Contributors can specify a particular United Way of Kankakee County agency.
We invite you to join the ongoing circle of caring by becoming a United Way donor. When each of us gives a little, lives are impacted a lot! Thank you! |
